Yet another long ski weekend up in the mountains have been concluded. This one on the front-side of Presidents Day weekend and this time with our good friends Suze and Patrick.
We drove up into the mountains late Wednesday night, stayed up there in a rental place and skied for 4 days straight. It was great to have a temporary place up in the mountains so we could bring the doggies and get to hang out with them every evening. We are definitely looking forward to some day be able to do this on a permanent basis.
We skied Copper Mountain on our first day Thursday, and then later again on Saturday. Friday we skied Vail and then Sunday we went to A-Basin. We had great snow all weekend long. Thursday it snowed the entire day, and Friday was a blue bird day with 8 new inches on the ground.
Saturday only saw a dusting, but the snow was still nice. We met up with our good friends Mike and Sue at Copper and finally skied Tucker Mountain with them. Not a bad place to be on a busy day at Copper. Sunday at A-Basin it snowed again, and it was at times whiteout conditions so bad that you could barely see the tips of your skis!
Picking A-Basin for Sunday turned out to be a really good choice. While the other more ‘popular’ resorts were packed with Presidents Day vacationers, A-Basin remained calm with its usual local vibe.

All in all – yet again – another awesome long weekend full of skiing!
