Death March Dave ones again this year guided the troops around on long forgotten service roads and trails in the forest land. The purpose to inflict soreness and pain upon all participants; well, that’s really just an excuse. The primary purpose being to celebrate the arrival of summer in the Rockies and plain and simply ride with friends in the mountains. And of course to build up a natural thirst for post ride beverages at Dave’s place.

The word about the Lyons Fat Tire Festival has spread wide and quick, so this year the ride was split into two groups to accommodate the many eager riders; one group for riders wanting to do a long ride with lots of climbing, and another group for riders wanting to do an even longer ride with even more climbing. I opted for the even longer ride. This ride, by the way, was the inaugural ride, or test ride if you will, of my brand spanking new Intense Spider 29er that Dave built me up just a few days prior. It was the perfect bike for this ride. I was grinning from start to finish, but enough said about the ride for now. Instead I got a video to share. I shot quite a bit of footage with my little point’n'shoot; all compiled into the video below. Enjoy!
Great Video!!!
When is the next one?
I’m going to Laramie to the pre-ride on the 7th if your up for it.
Great video Jasper!
Did you get a helmet mounted camera?
Looks likes lots of climbing from the gearing everyone is using….the 29er you got has gears, right?
Hey Rick. I do have a helmet mounted camera but didn’t use it this day. I’ve actually only ever taken the helmet camera skiing, not mountain biking. All shots were hand held
