While my single speed bike mechanically is pretty simple, there’s one component I continue to have trouble with – the bottom bracket. In my quest for a trouble free bottom bracket I have tried pretty much every brand and design only short of the old tapered square bottom bracket. While the old tapered square might end up being the solution, I’m giving a more modern system one more chance. More specifically, I will be trying out the brand spanking new Hope bottom bracket with external ceramic bearings. If nothing else, it sure is purdy!
